ACADEMIC GRADES

Academic grades are calculated on the basis of daily assignments, projects, tests and quizzes, term exams and final exams. Report Cards are issued in early December, early March and at the end of the school year.

GPA Percentage

4.00 A+ 98-100 * indicates a student with above average ability who
4.00 A 93-97         performs at the maximum of his/her ability.
3.75 A- 90-92

3.25 B+ 87-89 * indicates a student who is doing good work and is
3.00 B 83-86      willing to put more than minimum required effort.
2.75 B- 80-82

2.25 C+ 77-79    * indicates slightly better than average work
2.00 C 73-76      * indicates a student who does average work
1.75 C- 70-72    * puts out minimum amount of effort

1.25 D+ 67-69    * indicates a student who is not applying himself to his or
1.00 D 63-66         her studies. He is easily distracted, fails to cooperate in
 0.75 D- 60-62      following instructions and often does not hand in daily work.

The attitude of the student to his teachers, to his studies, and to his classmates will almost without exception reflect on his academic marks.

The Grade Point Average is calculated cumulatively, it represents subjects weighted according to the number of times each subject meets per week.

HONOR ROLL

The Honor Roll is designed to give recognition to students who achieve the following:

High Honors – given to students with an overall Grade Point Average of (G.P.A, 3.51 - 4.00)

Honors - awarded to a student with an overall Grade Point Average of (G.P.A. 3.00 - 3.50)

Honorable Mention – awarded to a student with an overall Grade Point Average of  (G.P.A. 2.50 - 2.99)
