ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE TO

WINDERMERE HIGH SCHOOL

Windermere High School admits students who meet the general admission criteria and have demonstrated proficiency in English. Students need to be willing to be cooperative with the WHS personal, of high moral standing, willing to live peacefully in the Windermere High School environment and fulfill responsibilities assigned to them.

The most recent school transcript from the last two last years from the school(s) attended including academic, extra curricular and conduct reports.

Medical certificate not older than three months.

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Windermere High School admits international students who meet the general admission criteria and have demonstrated proficiency in English. Students need to be willing to be cooperative with the WHS personal, of high moral standing, willing to live peacefully in the Windermere High School environment and fulfill responsibilities assigned to them.

Windermere High School requires:

The most recent official school transcript from the last two years from school(s) attended, including academic, extra curricular and conduct reports.

Completed Student Application form – found on-line.

References of Character from (a) The Principal or head master of last two Schools attended;

(b) Pastor or church leader,

(c) a person (not a relative) from the local town government.

The above three items must be sent to Windermere High School for approval.

Applicants must also apply for a student visa to reside in the Bahamas from the Department of Immigration.

Students must write the Windermere High School entrance exam, which places students at the appropriate grade.

One half the total school fees will be paid with certified money order or check upon arrival, the second half paid by December 1 of each year.

Students must maintain a Grade Point Average of 2.5 and above.

Bahamas Immigration will require:

Birth Certificate.

Passport.

Police Certificate.

Student Visa.

Medical Certificate of issued within two months.

Confirmation of finances required while in the Bahamas.

Return Airline Ticket.
