Special Projects

Donations of money, time, and talents are gladly received for any project and to help defray the cost of running Windermere High School that is not covered by tuition.

Tax-deductible receipts for Canada and United States are provided upon request.

Groups and some individuals have been coming and assisting the school in the needed areas of projects. Listed below are projects where finances and individual help will be greatly appreciated

CABANAS

The school’s growing population needs another cabana-a place where students have lunch and socialize.

GAMES ROOM

We hope to soon have a spacious activity room for the playing of games, watching a video or where appropriate socializing can take place.

SPORTS

Track and Ball Fields are being developed to enhance our facilities for the school’s sports program.

VAN

A fifteen-passenger van is needed to take small groups of students to and from school activities.

UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL WIRING

500 feet of electrical line needs to be placed underground for hurricane and safety reasons, as low lines run through the main walking and populated area of campus.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are needed to help needy and promising students attend Windermere High School. These will be chosen from applications received and the Scholarship Committee’s recommendations.

RAIN WATER CATCHMENTS

Since the island’s water is somewhat salty, it is very important that we have rainwater catchments to supply drinking water and water for plants and raising fruits and vegetables.

A NEW BUILDING

A building is needed to house the meeting place for programs and chapels, along with Library facilities and musical instruction.
